Hospital & Health Care in Harney County
Harney District Hospital is the medical center in Harney County. It is a new, state of the art, Critical Access Facility located in Burns, Oregon. We serve a population of less than 8,000 citizens located in small ranching communities spread over 10,000 square miles.
Harney District Hospital provides a broad range of services to address your medical needs and concerns. From the state of the art technology of our Electronic Medical Records system to the highly personalized care you’ll receive from our staff, Harney District Hospital continually strives to improve their service to the patient.
With the new hospital, the County also has a wide variety of medical services available from a variety of local and visiting providers including: Obstetric Care, Well Child Care, Preventive and Well Woman Exams, Geriatric Care, Encology, Podiatry, and a host of other services.
Home Health & Hospice is also a provided service in Harney County. Harney County Hospice came into existence in December 1992, after a year of hard work organizing and certifying the program. Strong support from the entire community is the reason we were able to start this service, and that support allows us to continue this program for Harney County.
